The driver of the second car did not require immediate medical treatment.

The Coroner has been notified and a post mortem examination will be arranged which will determine the course of the investigation.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.

Any road users who were travelling in the Grand Parade area at the time and may have camera footage, including dash-cam, are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
