A man has died after being hit by a truck in Co Waterford.

It happened at around 8:15pm last night at Killossera, Dungarvan.

The 60-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body has been taken to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford.

The male driver of the truck was not injured in the crash.

A forensic exam is being carried out at the scene.

The road remains closed this morning, and diversions are in place.
