A man has died following a crash on the main Dublin to Belfast Road.

The 55-year-old was killed after a collision between two cars near Halfway Road, Banbridge at 7.15 this morning.

One adult female was injured during the collision and was taken to hospital. Her injuries are not life threatening.

Part of the A1 is currently closed as a result of the collision.
