A man is critically ill in hospital following an overnight shooting in Dublin.
Four people were injured in the drive-by shooting, which happened at around half past two this morning on the North Circular Road.
A man and three women were injured when a gunman opened fire on a group of people standing on the street, at Hanlon's Corner on the North Circular Road.
It's understood the male victim may have been the target of the attack.
He was brought to the Mater hospital where he remains in a serious condition while two women were taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown and the third was brought to St James' Hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
It's understood another man was driving the car from which the gunman opened fire.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the attack to contact them.
