The man accused of murdering Deepa Dinamani at a house in Cork city earlier this month is due in court again in four weeks.

41-year-old Regin Rajan of Cardinal Court, Wilton, Cork city appeared before Cork District Court today.

Mr Rajan appeared in court via video link from Cork Prison.

Sgt John Kelleher told Judge Olann Kelleher that a substantial file is to be compiled due to the nature of the incident.

Judge Kelleher remanded Mr Rajan in continuing custody until August 28th for DPP directions.

38-year-old Deepa Dinamani was found dead at a house in Wilton on the night of Friday, July 14th.

Mr Rajan was arrested at the scene and appeared before a special sitting of Cork District Court on the following Sunday, charged with the murder of the mother-of-one.
