A man is due in court in the UK charged with the murder of a female scientist, who was found beheaded.
The woman, who is aged in her 30s, has been named locally as Samantha Ho, a scientist, Sky News reports. Her body was discovered at a house in Cambridgeshire when armed officers were called to the property.
Witnesses are reported to have said that the body and head were found separately at the house in Curlew Place, St Neots, Cambridgeshire.
A post-mortem found that the victim died of multiple cuts to the neck.
Timothy Allen, 40, of Curlew Place, St Neots, is to appear at Peterborough Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesman said: "The death is being treated as an isolated incident and no one else is being sought in connection.
"Officers are in contact with the victim's family and they are being kept up to date on the inquiry.
"There will also be extra police patrols in the area as inquiries at the property continue."
