A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Peter Murphy in County Cork four years ago.

The 37-year-old was found dead at his rented cottage at Shanavoher, Bweeng on February 7th 2015.

A post-mortem examination revealed that he had been assaulted.

Today, Gardai investigating the murder arrested a man in his 40s. He is being held at Mallow Garda Station.

In October, investigators arrested two men in their 20s in connection with the death.
