A man has been arrested in connection with possession of a gun.

The man (48) was detained after gardaí witnessed a row between a number of men while they were investigating a criminal damage incident at Rutland Grove in Crumlin, Dublin at around 12.50am.

Officers seized the firearm and arrested the man - he's being held at Sundrive Road garda station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
