New York detectives say a 'strong person of interest' is in custody in Pennsylvania - in connection with the fatal shooting of a US health insurance boss.
26-year-old Luigi Mangione was spotted in Altoona - with fake ID, a gun, and documents.
Local police commissioner Jessica Tisch said the suspect was spotted in a McDonald’s.
“He is believed to be our person of interest in the brazen, targeted murder of Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealthcare last Wednesday in midtown Manhattan,” she said.
“The suspect was in a McDonald’s and was recognised.”
There's been a manhunt since Mr Thompson was targeted from behind, on his way into a conference on Wednesday.
