A man has been arrested in Belfast in connection with a series of assaults and stabbings targeting young women in the city.
Four women were stabbed and two were punched in assaults in South Belfast on Monday night.
The incidents included a woman receiving a punch to the back of the head, and another being punched in the neck.
The women's injuries are said to be minor and not life threatening, but the PSNI called them 'frightening random attacks'.
An investigation was launched, with police believing all the attacks were carried out by one man on a bike.
A 38-year-old man was arrested by the PSNI this evening, and has been taken to Musgrave Station for questioning.
