A man has been arrested after herbal cannabis with a street value of approximately €20,000 was seized in Dublin.

It followed routine profiling by officers from Revenue's Customs Service at Dublin Port.

The cannabis was concealed in a vehicle which had arrived on board a ferry from Holyhead.

Revenue officials detained the man (23), who is Irish. He was later arrested by gardaí at Store Street garda station.

Revenue say investigations are ongoing with a view to prosecution.
