Gardai are still questioning a man after three pub customers prevented an armed robbery in a Dublin pub.
The raider threatened staff with what is believed to have been a shotgun as they began closing up at the Speaker Conolly bar in Firhouse last night.
He also demanded a sum of cash during the incident.
The man was tackled to the ground by three people, and was later arrested by gardaí.
The suspected firearm was recovered at the scene and has been sent for a technical examination.
The suspect is currently detained at Tallaght Garda Station under section 30 of Offences Against the State Act.
Assistant manager Jason Doyle says the raider ordered the customers to get down on the ground before demanding cash from him.
He said: "I just said 'calm down, calm down - we'll get you whatever you want'.
"Within a split second, the kitchen door burst open. The three lads had jumped the counter, came straight into the kitchen, and jumped on him... [they] wrestled him to the ground."
