A 24-year-old man is due to be sentenced at the end of the month for the death of Melanie McCarthy-McNamara in Dublin.

The 16-year-old was shot dead while sitting in the back of a parked car at Brookview Way in Tallaght in February 2012.

Keith Hall of Kilmartin Drive in Tallaght was charged with her murder. However the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has accepted his guilty plea for the lesser charge of manslaughter.

He will be sentenced on July 31st.
