Man (60s) granted bail in relation to Monaghan debs crash

A man aged in his 60s has been granted bail after he was charged with dangerous driving leading to a fatal collision.

The crash happened on the N54 at Legnakelly near Clones, County Monaghan, on July 31st last year.

Teenagers Keia McCann and Dlava Mohammed, aged 17 and 16, died during the incident as they made their way to Largey College School debs and the car they were driving in hit a tree.

Anthony McGinn of Drumacoon, Newbliss, was brought before Monaghan District Court today charged with dangerous driving causing the death of the two teenagers.

He was also charged with causing serious bodily harm to another individual during the incident.

Mr McGinn was granted bail of six weeks by Judge Raymond Finnegan and will appear before Monaghan District Court on April 22nd.
