A man in his 30s is in hospital after a stabbing in Co Cork last night.

Gardaí and emergency services were called to a house in Riverdale in Skibbereen at around 8.15pm.

They discovered the 39-year-old man with apparent stab wounds.

He was taken to Cork University Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
