If you're a mere car driver, you probably don't pay much notice to vertical clearance signs on bridges. But for truck drivers, every centimetre counts.
Today saw a fine example of the consequences that follow ignoring the round, yellow warning signs - a lorry which dropped a large portion of its load when it clipped a bridge in Laois.
