Police say a car fell into a sinkhole in east London.

A part of the road was closed while officers from Greenwich dealt with the situation.

It is believed the car was parked and no one was injured in the incident.

The local council, Royal Borough of Greenwich, is "urgently" investigating the matter.

Police were called to the scene in Woodland Terrace early on Thursday morning.
