Three teenagers have pleaded guilty to threatening a lesbian couple on a London bus earlier this year.

Melania Geymonat and Christine Hannigan were on a night bus in Camden when they were accosted by a group of teenagers in the early hours of May 30th.

Highbury Corner Youth Court previously heard they were surrounded by the boys, hit with coins and subjected to sexual gestures after they refused to kiss.

Both women were taken to hospital with facial injuries after the nine-minute attack.

Three teenagers, aged 15, 16 and 17-years-old appeared before the court on Thursday after previously denying charges of harassment by using threatening or abusive words or behaviour.

A two-day trial was due to get underway; however, they pleaded guilty before proceedings began.

Prosecutor Saira Khan told the court that each of the youngsters had played different roles during the incident.

The teenagers cannot be named because they are under the age of 18.

Charges against a fourth teenager, who is 17-years-old, were dropped on Thursday.
