Laya Healthcare says it will create 50 new jobs in Dublin by 2016.

The new employees will be based at the insurance company's HQ on Hume Street.

The roles are in customer service, claims and sales.

This comes after the announcement yesterday that 115 news jobs are being created at Green Isle Foods in Longford and Galway.

The new posts which will come on stream over the next five years, are part of a 30 million euro investment in the frozen food company's operations in Ireland.

The investment programme supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through Enterprise Ireland was approved by Cabinet this morning.

It also secures the jobs of 700 people who currently work at Green Isle.
