Los Angeles' LAX Airport is to open a new lounge just for celebrities.
Envisioned to keep VIPs away from paparazzi, the plan was given the green light by the Board of Airport Commissioners on Thursday.
The LA Times reports that for fees up to $1,800 celebrities can access exclusive parking spaces, a private lounge and a shuttle bus direct to their gate.
It is expected a vetting process will keep pop stars, high-profile CEOs and others away from members of the public willing to spend some money for VIP access.
Other airports around the world offer similar services in cities such as Dubai, Amsterdam, Moscow and Paris.
Elite security firm Gavin de Becker is to finance the project, which will cost an estimated $3m, though the lounge is predicted to generate $34m within its first 10 years.
