Night Luas Services begin this weekend, which will see some trams around the capital running until 3.00am.

Night trams will operate in both directions, collecting passengers at all stops on the Green Line and Red Line.

This excludes the last trams that will operate southbound and westbound, out of the city centre only.

Depending on the line, trams will be as frequent as every 30 minutes.

Customers will need a validated Leap Card, valid Night Luas ticket or valid commuter ticket is to use the service.

Luas annual, monthly and 30 Day tickets are also valid on the Night Luas services.

A Night Luas ticket costs €4 with a Leap Card. While a ticket from a Luas machine will cost you €5.

The operator says there will be security personnel on each Night Luas tram.

There will be curtained tram services on Christmas Eve, ending at 8.00pm, with no service on Christmas Day December 25th.
