A man aged in his 30s has died when his car crashed into the canal in Co Kildare this morning.
It happened shortly after 6.00am at Allenwood South in Naas.
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident after a car left the road and entered the canal.

The man was the only occupant of the car.
The road is currently closed to facilitate a Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
