The Minister for Justice says he hopes to be part of an administration that addresses the issue of abortions for women who are the victims of rape or who have been told their baby has a fatal foetal abnormality.
Alan Shatter says these issues will inevitably have to be addressed through a referendum, at some date in the future.
Minister Shatter says he is proud to be part of the government that introduced the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Bill.
