As the nation gears up towards the two referendums that could change the Irish constitution on May 22nd, the formidable Hook will be chairing a debate on both issues.

From 5pm to 6pm, George will moderate between the Yes and No arguments in the same-sex marriage referendum; arguing in favour will be former Fianna Fáil minister Pat Carey, as well as Gráinne Healy, the co-director of Yes Equality. On the other side will be columnist John Waters and Senior Counsel Patrick Treacy.

Then from 6pm to 6.30pm, the focus will shift to the referendum to lower the age of eligibility to run for the Irish presidency, from 35 to 21. Mairead Healy of Youth Voices will lead the charge for the yes campaign, while Prof Colum Kenny will outline his reasons for a no vote.

If you are interested in attending the broadcast next Monday, please text the word Limerick to 53106, and you will be contacted with details of the event.

We look forward to seeing you there for a lively discussion about the future of the nation.
