Johnny Depp has saved his Yorkshire Terriers from a certain death, after making swift arrangements for them to leave Australia.
The star acted after a government minister said they would have to be put down because he had broken quarantine laws.
He accused Depp of sneaking Pistol and Boo into the country aboard his private jet last month.
Darren Curtis from Channel 9 News in Queensland says the so called 'war-on-terrier' is almost over.
Depp is in the country filming 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales' - the fifth movie in the blockbuster series.
However it is understood he failed to tell the authorities about his prize pets - and was rumbled after pictures emerged of them visiting a dog grooming salon Happy Dogz in Maudsland, Queensland.
"Just because he's Johnny Depp does not mean he's exempt from Australian law," Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce previously said.
