James Cameron says the release of the Blu-ray edition of his movie is “closure on Titanic.”
The producer, director and writer of the 1997 blockbuster film released Titanic as a 2D and 3D next Monday.
This is the final time Titanic will be resurrected in a new format and has has described it as an end of an era.
“This Blu-ray release is the end of a 17 year old journey. It’s now closure on Titanic.” James explained to New York Post.
Titanic has won a total of 11 Oscars but it also grossed more than $2 billion at the box office.
Despite James Cameron being worth $700 million, he still enjoys receiving free copies of his films.
“I keep my own personal companies of everything. I make the companies give them to me. Like I say, ‘I want ten copies,’ and I give them as Christmas presents,” James laughed. “I’m low maintenance. I live simply. Just glad to survive.”
