On The Picture Show this week:
Hugh Jackman, best known for his role as Wolverine in the X-men series and also for his work in Les Miserables chats to Philip about what it was like to play a villain in new movie Chappie.
Jackman also discusses his upcoming movie Pan, a story of Peter Pan, which he says is a movie that “takes you to another world, and as an adult it makes you feel again what it's like to be a kid.”
Chappie is the latest sci-fi thriller by director Neill Blomkamp, who also spoke about the film on this week's show. It is a movie set in Johannesburg in the near future where crime is patrolled by a robotic police force. When a police droid, known as Chappie, is stolen and given new programming it gains the ability to think and feel for himself. The action filled movie see’s Chappie lead a revolution against the oppressive law enforcement.

Morgan Matthews, director of X+Y, a movie about a socially awkward teen prodigy who represents Britain in the International Olympiad in Taiwan.
Asa Butterfield from Hugo and The Boy In The Striped Pajamas plays Nathan Ellis, a young boy who is struggling with the everyday aspects of life after being diagnosed as autistic. The movie which is inspired by Matthews’ 2007 documentary Beautiful Young Minds follows Nathan as he grows in confidence and forms news friendships whilst taking part in the International Mathematics Olympiad.
X+Y will be released on Friday the 13th of March in Dublin.

On the eve of International Women's Day, Philip talks to the director of Dreamcatchers, a new documentary by Kim Longinotto that has opened at the Light House Cinema in Dublin.
The documentary is based on the Dreamcatchers foundation which dedicates itself to helping sex workers.
It features the stories of Brenda Myers Powell and Stephanie Daniels Wilson who grew up in Chicago and overcame drug addiction and prostitution. Their past experiences have put them in a rare position to help others who are going through some of the same difficulties that they experienced.
