A number of owls, rabbits and other animals have been removed from a residential property after being found living in substandard conditions.
Two owls, a Barn Owl, Bengal Eagle Owl, a Belgian giant breed rabbit and her six babies, two yellow bellied turtles and three kittens were discovered by ISPCA inspector Karen Lyons.
The ISPCA says all of the animals were signed over to them, as they were not receiving adequate care.
It describes the confinement of the two owls as "unacceptable".

Inspector Lyons said: These types of birds need expert care and handling and it was obvious that their needs were not being met".
"How these birds were acquired is still being investigated, but we would urge the public to consider that keeping any wild animal in a home environment is inadvisable".

The two owls were transferred to the Kildare Animal Foundation Wildlife Unit, and have since learned how to fly.
The ISPCA say they had never had to room to experience this before.
The remaining animals were brought to the ISPCA National Animal Centre and will be re-homed once they have finished vet assessments and any treatments required.
