Someone's "confession" on a postcard mailed to a popular blog had Chicago police searching a city park for a body.
"I said she dumped me," the postcard reads, "but really I dumped her (body)," with an arrow pointing to a particular spot on a map:
The postcard was posted (and as of publication, remains) on PostSecret, a blog which accepts anonymous secrets written on postcards and publishes some of the funniest, insightful or most shocking ones every Sunday.
Police got wind of it when users on community website Reddit figured out where the arrow was pointing to - Chicago's Jackson Park - and initiated a search. But they couldn't find anything.
Somewhere, the world's biggest troll is laughing hysterically at their "genius" idea.
But their plan may be about to backfire: a member of the Chicago police told CNN that what the sender did was still a crime, and that the investigation is still ongoing.
Who knows, maybe the next postcard they send will be from prison.
