Irish naval vessel the LÉ Niamh has rescued another 225 people off the Libyan coast.
The operation began last night when the ship was tasked to help those on board two inflatable vessels in distress.
107 migrants were taken on board from one craft, and a further 118 from a second vessel.
The operation was successfully completed at 5am this morning.
139 men, 74 women and 12 children are receiving water, food, and medical assistance where required.
Since departing Ireland last month, LÉ Niamh has rescued 1,772 migrants before its latest operation.
The naval vessel's latest operation came only hours after one of the biggest single-day rescue operations in the Mediterranean.
Around 3,000 migrants were rescued from more than 20 boats yesterday during operations coordinated by the Italian coastguard.
