The standard of Ireland's ITs is improving.
The Sunday Times 'Good University Guide' published today names Trinity College in Dublin as the University of the year, while Carlow I.T. has been revealed as the top choice when it comes to Institutes of Technology.
Carlow was chosen because of its strong academic record and state of the art research centre.

Journalist Kate Butler, who complied the list, says it's part of a nationwide trend that shows the gap is closing between third level facilities:
