Investigations are continuing into a Dublin crash which claimed the life of a woman yesterday afternoon.

The pedestrian in her early 70s was fatally injured when she was struck by a car at the junction of Howth Road and Collins Avenue in Clontarf - at about 12.30 on Friday.

A forensic examination of the scene was carried out following the incident and Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
