Gardaí are due to brief the media in a press conference this evening in relation to the discovery of what is believed to be the body of a newborn baby in Co Wicklow.
The discovery was made by a man at the recycling facility in Bray at around 11am this morning.
The scene has been preserved for a forensic examination and the State Pathologist has been notified.
The suspected remains were found at the Greenstar recycling plant in Fassaroe, just off the N11 near Bray. The plant deals with waste from the surrounding areas of Dublin and Wicklow.
A number of garda vehicles arrived at the plant throughout the day, but recycling trucks are still being allowed to come and go. Greenstar say they are helping Gardaí with their investigation.
Gardaí are due to brief the media in a press conference at Bray Garda station this evening.
