Gardaí are investigating after a man was shot in north Dublin.

It happened at around 2.00pm at Cromcastle Drive, Kilmore in Coolock.

A man aged in his 30s was injured and taken by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital.

His injuries are described as non-life threatening.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.

No arrests have been made but investigations are ongoing.
