Gardaí are carrying out a technical examination after shots were fired in the northside of Dublin overnight.
It is understood a lone gunman aimed at the door of a hotel on Botanic Road in Glasnevin and opened fire shortly after 3am. It is understood four shots were fired through the door before the man fled the scene in the direction of Mobhi Road.
It is believed a number of people had been in the hotel bar at the time, but nobody was injured. Gardaí have sealed off the scene this morning for a technical examination.
No one was injured during the incident and the scene remains sealed off this afternoon.
