A US Airways plane flying from Los Angeles to Philadelphia was diverted after after a dog repeatedly defecated in the aisle.

The assistance dog, who belonged to a blind passenger, became ill and relieved himself right in the middle of the cabin. After noticing the noxious odour, staff cleaned up the mess, only for the dog to replace it with a fresh one.

With the smell causing some passengers to vomit, the plane was diverted to Kansas City Interantional Airport.

According to WLOX, the blind passenger apologised profusely, offering to buy other passengers gift cards.
