The head of IBEC says Ireland needs to be prepared in case the UK votes to leave the EU.
British Prime Minister David Cameron has promised to hold a referendum on the issue by the end of 2017.
Recent polls have put support for staying within the EU at between 45 and 55 per cent, with 34 and 45 per cent wanting to opt out.

As Britain is our main trading partner and because we share a land border, there have been concerns on the impact on Ireland if Britain leaves the EU.
