Game of Thrones got plenty of good news in the last few days, part of which was confirming that the show would run for at least eight seasons on HBO. There was also a story about the future or lack thereof of Jon Snow, but there's no way to comment on that.
There was even more exciting news this weekend however, after it was strongly rumoured that actor Ian McShane would be taking a role in the show for the upcoming season. There's not a whole lot of detail on it, but it is believed that it would not require a lot of screen time for the actor, but would nonetheless be the part of an important character in the storyline.
The predominant theory (online, at least) is that means he would be playing the role of Euron Greyjoy, uncle of Theon.
please tell me Ian McShane is playing Euron Greyjoy

Hmm, interesting casting! So will Ian McShane be Randyll Tarly or Euron Greyjoy???

The thought of Ian McShane as Euron Greyjoy makes me gleeful. Here's hoping!

Ian McShane cast in Game of Thrones?! Yes, please! I could easily see him as Euron Greyjoy if they go more into the Iron Islands.

There's unlikely to be confirmation on that any time soon, so the speculation is set to continue for some time yet.
