About two months ago, it looked like Shakespearean actors and BFFs Sirs Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart were right on course to join Taylor Swift’s ever expanding squad of celebrity tokens, but now it appears there’s some bad blood between the singer and the Lord of the Rings star.
Speaking to Gay Star News, McKellen revealed that he’d be forced to move out of the New York apartment he was living in when Swift purchased the property.
When asked if he was hoping to be welcomed to the stage, like so many celebrities before him, the Oscar-nominee replied:
"I’m not. When I was living in Peter Jackson’s apartment in New York, Taylor Swift bought it while I was there and I was thrown out before I wanted to leave! That hardly puts me in Taylor Swift’s team, does it?"
"She bought it, she had every right to," added McKellen. "I was just lodging there for free! She did ask me to appear with Patrick Stewart at her show in LA, but I had something else to do that night."
