Alec Baldwin has insisted he never pulled the trigger of the gun that killed a cinematographer on the set of his new film.
The 63-year-old shot and killed Halyna Hutchins when a prop gun he was holding went off during filming of the western ‘Rust’ in New Mexico.
In a clip of his first interview since the tragedy in October, Baldwin breaks down in tears while describing Hutchins as someone who was loved and admired by everyone who worked with her.
He said he had no idea how a live round made its way on to the set.

Asked whether the script called for him to pull the trigger, Baldwin replies: “Well the trigger wasn't pulled, I did not pull the trigger...
“I would never point a gun at anyone and pull a trigger at them. Never.”
Asked why a real bullet was on set, the actor replies: “I have no idea. Someone put a live bullet in a gun; a bullet that wasn't even supposed to be on the property.”
The trailer for the interview also sees Baldwin describing the tragedy as the worst thing that ever happened to him.
The interview with Good Morning America host George Stephanopoulos is due to be aired on ABC in the US at 1am Irish time on Friday.
