The sister of three O'Driscoll brothers who died in Co Cork last week says the heart of her family has been broken.

Hundreds of people turned out in Charleville this afternoon for the funeral of Thomas, Paddy and Jonathan O'Driscoll.

Their bodies were discovered last Thursday evening after an apparent case of murder-suicide.

Large crowds packed into the Holy Cross Church in Charleville for the requiem mass of Thomas, Paddy and Jonathan O'Driscoll, which began at midday.

The chief mourners included the boys parents Thomas and Helen, their younger brothers Jimmy and Martin and their sister Bernadette.

She paid an emotional tribute to her brothers.

The town of Charleville came to a standstill, with all businesses closing and people standing along the streets as the two white coffins of Thomas and Patrick were carried to Holy Cross cemetery.

Jonathan O'Driscoll will be buried later this afternoon in Kilmallock cemetery in Co Limerick beside his mother's parents.
