There's a new show in town and Hugh Jackman has given his seal of approval. Dirty Laundry was written by Chris Edmund, a friend and former acting coach of Jackman's.

The Wolverine star took to Twitter to give his seal of approval earlier this month and is now rumoured to be attending the show in Dublin's Smock Alley Theatre.

Edmund is also the former head of the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts.He now works for the Gaiety School of Acting, who are presenting the play at Dublin's Smock Alley Theatre.

According to The Irish Film and Television Network, Dirty Laundry was written for the Gaiety School of Acting's 19 graduating actors. The school is well known for being unique in Ireland for maintaining a tradition of commissioning plays for its Graduating Students.

The play is described as engaging "with the ideas of home in a very broad way, embracing the journey of characters from the ghost of the painter Francis Bacon to people on the very outer of society struggling to find a place for themselves in a fractured world."

Dirty Laundry arrives at Dublin's Smock Alley Theatre from the 23rd-28th June at 7.30pm.
