What do you get when you cross a klan member with a sousaphone? Around 200 members of the Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan found out at the weekend when their march on a town hall in South Carolina was interrupted by a musician.

Those marching were carrying pro-confederate flags, a symbol that has been the subject of some controversy since the recent shooting in Charleston, which left nine people dead.
State House in Columbia, South Carolina had removed its flag in the wake of that controversy.
At least five people were arrested after a violent stand-off between klan members and rights groups at State House.
