A horse has died after being struck by a train in Dublin this morning.
It happened near Adamstown, resulting in delays to services for a time.
Three other horses were also on the tracks but they escaped injury.
The animals have since been taken to safety.
Irish Rail this morning said there were 'minor delays' to trains to Heuston station through Adamstown as a result of the horse strike.
However, the transport company said delays had eased by around 10am.
Delays through Adamstown from earlier incident in which horses were struck, and through Pearse due to earlier points fault have now eased
