It appears it's too late to save the iconic Belfast shipyard that built the Titanic.

A spokesperson for Harland and Wolff has confirmed it will be placed into administration today with the loss of 123 jobs.

The company once employed 30-thousand people.

This worker, Robert Childs, says it's been a crucial part of the city's history:

“I’ve worked for this company for 37 years now and it’s absolutely in my blood. It’s in my blood; it’s in Belfast’s DNA. This city was built around this company. It would be a terrible shame for us to lose it.”
