One US voter has told Hillary Clinton why he is glad she has put herself in the running for the White House.
Mike Yowell from Iowa has told the former US Secretary of State: "I was thrilled when you recently urged the Supreme Court to rule in favour of marriage equality. I was like 'That's our gal.'"
The comments were made in a video posted by her campaign team.
It comes just days after her 'Getting Started' video featured a same-sex couple, who have now invited Mrs Clinton to their wedding.
Mrs Clinton has said she hoped that same-sex marriage would become a Constitutional right in the US.
A spokeswoman for Hillary for America, Adrienne Elrod, told BuzzFeed News: "Hillary Clinton supports marriage equality and hopes the Supreme Court will come down on the side of same-sex couples being guaranteed that constitutional right."
This is a change to a view she gave just last year, in which she told NPR: "Marriage had always been a matter left to the states. And in many of the conversations that I and my colleagues and supporters had, I fully endorsed the efforts by activists to work state by state. And in fact that is what is working."
