Sharon Horgan gets Emmy nomination for 'Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series'

There were few surprises and fewer snubs when the announcement of the nominees at the 68th annual Primetime Emmy Awards were revealed this afternoon. Black-ish star Anthony Anderson and Gilmore Girls gal Lauren Graham read out the nominees for the major categories for television’s biggest award.

Anderson was left screaming with Joy as Graham read out his name for ‘Best Actor in a Comedy Series’, as well as his co-star Tracee Ellis-Ross for ‘Best Actress’. The show also got a nod for ‘Best Comedy Series’.

In total, there are 113 different categories awarded prizes (the full list of nominees can be found here), though on awards night, only a handful of these are presented. The full list of nominees for the main awards at this year’s Emmys is as follows:
