Selfies are everywhere these days, with the animal kingdom no exception. Shots of lions, dogs, and lambs have already hit the internet - but this is the one we've been waiting for, because if ever there was an animal perfectly built for the selfie, it's the elephant!

The BBC reports that on a recent visit to West Midlands Safari Park in the UK, Scott Brierley, 23, dropped his phone near Latabe, an African elephant. Initially worried that the elephant might eat it, he certainly didn't expect to see this picture on his phone when park workers returned it to him.

"I really couldn't believe when the phone came back, I pressed the centre button to check it was still working and there it was - me and my friend were in shock," he said.

An elephant never forgets... to leave a strong first impression!
