A gunman has reportedly tried to force his car through a military barracks' gates in Belgium - and several shots have been fired.
The attacker was wearing a balaclava when he tried to ram through the barriers of the base in Flawinne, near the city of Namur.
According to prosecutors, the man has fled the scene.
It is understood no one has been hurt in the incident
Lt Gen Claude Van de Voorde has said he cannot confirm reports that there were explosives in the vehicle.
Belgium has remained on high alert since a lone gunman attacked a Jewish museum in Brussels last May, killing four people.
A preliminary report has also estimated that 500 people have left Belgium to fight in Iraq and Syria - many for Islamic State.
Officials have openly spoken of their fears of what those recruits could do if they were to return home.
