The Government’s housing policy has been described as ‘disgraceful’, a 'failure', and a 'fraud' by housing campaigners.
They are calling for a radical campaign to be set up, which would see rallies take place on the streets, demanding housing, rent control, and an end to evictions.
A Right 2 Housing conference took place in Dublin today, organised by People Before Profit, to discuss the issue.
They say the Housing 2020 strategy, announced by the Government in October last year to tackle homelessness, is not working.
